Sami Aro appointed as CEO of Sten Teräs Oy

The board has selected Sami Aro as the company’s new CEO. He will start in his position at the beginning of September. Aro brings with him a diverse expertise in executive roles within the steel industry. Most recently, he served as the head of the steel division at Hartman Rauta Oy and was a member of the company’s executive team.

Aro has experience in project management and the development of innovative business concepts. He has been involved in projects that have delivered significant results and advanced industry practices.

The current CEO, Jaakko Stén, will continue with the company as a senior advisor until his retirement. Jaakko has a long history with the company, and his expertise and understanding of the company’s operations are crucial for the onboarding of the new CEO. This ensures a smooth transition in the company’s leadership.

Sten Teräs Oy is a Finnish steel company that is part of the traditional Stén Group. Stén & Co Oy Ab has a strong history of over 90 years in the steel trade. In addition to Sten Teräs Oy, the group includes Kimet Oy and Stén & Co Oü, which operates in Estonia. Together, these companies form the Stén Group, with a turnover exceeding 60 million euros and employing nearly 100 professionals in Finland and the Baltic region.
